Esterel Mountains


The Esterel mountains, recognizable by its rocks (red porphyry) with red hues, is a large volcanic mountain range that covers 32,000 ha of the Var coastline, between Saint Raphaël and Mandelieu. From these 32,000 ha, 14,000 ha are now classified and preserved. This protected natural area, where gorges, creeks and peaks alternate, is the ideal setting for long walks, biking or horse riding on the trails.
